How to print them
- Use card stock (65–110 lb) so the bookmarks hold up in a backpack.
- Print at 100% (“actual size”), not “fit to page”, so they come out 2″ × 6.5″.
- Cut along the dashed lines. A paper trimmer makes quick work of a whole class set.
- Extra touch: punch a hole at the top and add a bit of yarn or ribbon.
- The QR code on each bookmark leads back to this site, so kids and parents can find the book again.
Meet Howard
This printable comes from Howard’s Sore Toe, a picture book in verse for ages 1–7 by Diane Paul, illustrated by Romi Caron. One cold, windy day, a curious teddy bear climbs down the stairs to see what’s outside, and finds a bigger adventure than he bargained for.
